This site is a collection of photos and notes etc from my various travels, I regularly update the news / blog section and photo galleries when im travelling or with an upcoming event.
My next major target is training for a few Offroad Cycle Brevets in Jan / Feb 2012, leading up to a longer ride in June.
The first is the Great Southern Brevet,
1200km Taking in the iconic Mackenzie High Country, the Lakes, and through to Central Otago and Southland and back again to the High Country.
followed a week later In Feburary with the Kiwi Brevet ,
an 1100 km bicycle brevet around the top of the South Island – with as much off road riding as possible. In 2010 we went in an anticlockwise direction, http://kiwibrevet.blogspot.com/.
For both events I will have my GPS tracker with me. My Spot GPS tracker page
The last target on the horizon for me was the Kepler Challenge a 60km mountain run held on the Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park, NZ, The 23rd annual event on Saturday 4th December 2010, Despite going into the event with a lingering injury I had a great time, Its definitely an event I would like to come back to again.
Limited to 400 competitors in the Kepler Challenge and 150 in the Luxmore Grunt, the events both filled within minutes of entry’s going “online” , with a bit of luck I managed to secure a place. now for more training
My last major adventure was Cycle Asia 2009, which was a cycle journey around Southeast Asia then proceeding on through Southwest China , onto Tibet and Nepal .
