Lhasa – Kathmandu cycle

Lhasa – Tibet itinerary

Below is a copy of my itinerary for my cycle trip from Lhasa to Kathmandu that im currently doing,

In order to cycle in Tibet I needed to obtain a permit and travel as part of an organaised tour, so I have joined up with a group of fellow touring cyclists, all with a common goal of wanting to cycle through Tibet with the bare minimum of support and overheads.

The last week has been great meeting up with the other 7 cyclists in our group, weve had 3 days of amazing cycling and camping so far and Im looking forward to what the next 20 or so days of cycling has to offer.

There wont be many updates on my site till I reach Kathmandu at the end of the Month.

Day16(Sep 18):Gyatsola-60km-Shegar ,Camp

Day17(Sep 19):Shegar-30km-Wula(5200m), Camp

Day18( Sep 20): Wula-60km-Ronbuk,Camp

Day19(Sep 21):Ronbuk-8km-Base Camp

Day20(Sep 22): Base Camp-60km-Lunja

Day21(Sep 23):Lunja-30km-Tingri

Day22(Sep 24): Tingri-80km- Dongba ,Camp

Day23( Sep 25): Dongba-60km- Lablungla Pass (5050m),Camp

Day24( Sep 26): Lablungla Pass-Nyalam (70km),Camp

Day25( Sep 27): Nyalam-Zhangmu (30km). Hotel

Day26( Sep 28): Zhangmu-Dolalghat(71km). Hotel( Our service will end after your crossing the borderline. On the other side of the friendship bridge you will find Nepal Customs and you will get your visa there easily )

Day27( Sep 29): Dolalghat-Kathmandu(70km). Hotel

Lijiang – Kunming – Chengdu
